We had a wonderful time during our Watch Night Service. There was Food, Fellowship, Singing and Preaching! I cannot tell you every detail, I sure wish I could but I do not have the ability to do that in this medium!
Suffice it to say, We were in the presence of the Lord as the old year passed on and the New Year began!
Earlier in the month of December I was talking with my Pastor, Bro. Greg Banther, and was asking him what his plans were for the Watch Night Service. He told me that all he was sure of was the fact that he wanted us as a Church to be on our collective knees, in Prayer, as we entered 2010.
I am happy to say that we succeeded in meeting this goal! We spent all night praising and worshiping God. Preaching His wonderful, glorious message of the Gospel Truth of Salvation by placing our trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
After the Preaching was over we all gathered at the front of the Church and we closed out 2009 and entered 2010 at the Throne of Grace!
Oh how I wish that you could have spent that time with us. I know there are similar services that were held at the same time and for the same reason, however, I wish that ALL of us who are Christians could have gathered together in one place at the same time to kneel at the feet of Jesus Christ.
I know that today it is quite impossible for us all to be together in the same place, but I Thank God in Heaven that one day soon... and I DO believe that day is fast approaching us, We will ALL be together Praising God and Worshiping the Dear Lord Jesus, Honoring the Precious Holy Spirit of God. Together with the saints of God who have already passed over along with the angels in Heaven we WILL ALL SAY:
Revelation 5:12-13 "Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever."
What a Superb Day that is going to be!
Dear Heavenly Father,
Help us ALL to live each day as if this would be the day of your wondrous return! Please take us and use us for Your Honor and Glory. In Jesus worthy name, Amen.
Happy New Year!
Evangelist David J. Dunn
