Another Thought Provoking Question For All Of Us.

These verses are just a few that discuss this topic of "Being Set Free from Sin". I personally find this a wonderful subject to think and to speak on. God basically has told us here that we no longer have to "Serve Sin"! We have not only been set free from the chains and fetters (or Shackles) of the Sinful fleshly nature that we are born with, but we have also been set free from the chains that we have been guilty of "Binding Ourselves" with.
The Bible tells us here that God, through the finished work of Jesus on Calvary, has ALREADY BROKEN the chains of sin. Here is the ONE question that I have been asking Christians, Preachers as well as myself. IF we have in fact been "SET FREE" why then do we as Christians pick up those same chains that He (Jesus) has mercifully removed from us, by His actions on the cross, and then "Re-chain" or "Bind Again" our hearts and lives to Sin and the devil?

Prison Ministry Update for Sun. September 27,2009

Praise The Lord, we had another wonderful harvest of souls this Lord's Day! We were able to see 10 more precious souls enter into the Kingdom of God!
I wish that you were able to come with us and see the glorious transformation of men and women as they go from "Death unto Life"!
Again, please keep us in your prayers as we continue to carry the gospel behind the walls of jails and prisons to set free those who are bound up in Sin and Death!
Glory and Honor to The Lord for All that Is Being Accomplished!

Wednesday September 24, 2009 Continued!!!

I preached a message from Mark 10:17-22
(17) "And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
(18) And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
(19) Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
(20) And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
(21) Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
(22) And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions."
Thank God, we saw one teenage girl come to a saving knowledge of Jesus! She now knows the reality of Jesus Christ in her life. Praise The Lord... He Still Saves The Lost!
Thank You Dear Lord for such a wonderful day, 3 people saved!

Prison Ministry Update for Wed. September 24, 2009

In our last service with the men of "B block", Brother James Trotter was preaching a message out of Psalms 14:1-3 (1) "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. (2) The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. (3) They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one."
The Message for this service seemed to be straight to the point and aimed directly into the hearts of the men who needed it most. When the invitation time came, neither of the two men who came to accept Jesus as their Savior hesitated even a moment. Both seemed anxious about coming and giving themselves over to God!
What a privilege to walk someone down the Romans Road and straight into the arms of Jesus!
Please continue to pray much for this vital ministry.
God Bless,

"Why Build Walls Around Our Children?"
Just consider it.

Take a look at this picture...

I can well remember the times that we would as kids, be travelling with my parents somewhere in the North during the winter months as my Dad would be preaching a Revival meeting. As "Fate" would have it, there would always be kids in these churches who were "Professional Snowball Chucker's"! Now here we were My brother, sister and myself, the three of us against most of a youth department! (Yep... They ganged up on us cause we were the "Evangelist's Kids"!!!!) You know how they say that "Life Ain't Fair"??!! Yes sir, we learned the truth of that little nugget of life very early on!
So, here we are trying to get my "Prissy" sister Debra to pack snowballs together while my brother Mike and I are fighting for our very lives on the Battlefield of the Christian Snow Warriors. All Debra could do was complain that her tiny hands were "Freezing"! (You know how sisters can be.)
I remember one church in particular, where we were out numbered, out gunned and they were working on a "Huge Wall" to Launch these half "Ice Ball", half Snow Missiles at us. We were getting "Hammered" to death!!!! So I did the only thing that I could do besides lay down and be buried under a ton of snow and ice! I called for a 15 minute "Cease Fire". As soon as they stopped "Raining" those "Hail Stones" down on top of us, the three of us started "Scooping" and "Packing" snow into a 3 sided Fort wall!!! Then we went back to making "Ammo" for the Slaughter!
I want you to know that the wall we built lasted the whole week of Revival, and when it came time for us to pack up and head back home to Chattanooga, TN. the kids of the church wanted to keep it up and use it after we were gone... However, my brother Mike and I knocked it down before we left. Why you may ask... well, in our opinion, they didn't deserve such a "Cool" Fort!!!!!
I know this is a funny way to talk about protecting our kids, but if you just take a moment... it really does make sense! We were getting killed without the protection that the wall afforded us. Not only were we able to hold our own all week long but there were many a night that week that the three of us were in fact "Victorious!
Look at it like this... The wall gave us not only protection, but it also made our small number of 3 kids able to do much more in a snowball fight than we ever did out in the open! Parents... Teenagers and all kids. Listen to me for a few moments. Mom and Dad, your Pastor, Youth Pastor they all place "Rules" and "Regulations" on you for a really good reason... Safety for one. Protection and also to give you the means to be able to stand against the temptations of this life. The Peer Pressure factor can be handled if you already know the "Walls" are there, they are Strong and They are not likely to be moved by that authority figure.
Folks, I can remember as a teenager how "Useless" I thought those "Walls" were that my parents and Youth Pastor placed in front of and around me. I thought it was stupid to have them there, however, I can sit here before God and testify that if it had not been for those walls... I would be Dead or In Prison for the rest of my Life!
Teenager, don't despise the "Walls"... instead Thank your parents and Pastors for placing them there. Young Lady, don't you know what a treasure it is for you to be able to wait for Marriage before having intimate relations. Young Man, It takes a "Real Man" to abstain and be pure before God in relationships.
Don't hate the "Walls" Thank God that they are there.
Deuteronomy 13:4 - "Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. "
This is just something for us to think about.
God Bless,
Evangelist David Dunn
Preaching The Truth... No Matter What The Cost!
Please enjoy!

Why "Preaching The Truth"? I have been preaching now for 24 years. If ever there was a time in our lives when we need the truth preached it is RIGHT NOW!
I have been told by many that my "Style" of preaching is a "Thing of the Past". My answer to these accusations is "Move over Trixie... The Train is comin thru"!
Over the years I have read messages from Evangelists from our past and there were a few things that stuck out in my mind from these messages.
First, the mesages were delivered with Passion!
In each case, the preachers made sure to show the real passion they had for the subject or content of the message they were preaching. When they were preaching on Hell, They preached it HOT and REAL! They preached with passion in their hearts and in their words when they spoke of the forgiveness and salvation we ALL have through Jesus and His finished work on the cross. Passion is a key ingredient that is, in my personal opinion, missing in our pulpits all over the world. We must be Passionate!
Second, the messages were Pointed!
Third, the messages were Powerful!
This is the reason and also the explanation for the need of this type of preaching that we desperately need today!
I AM THIS KIND OF PREACHER.

The Most Beautiful Thing In All The World!

Just look at them... They sit there in their standard "Star" formation... equally spaced and distanced appropriately from one another. Notice their sized proportions, almost equal all the way around! HMMMMMM!!!!!!!!! Man Oh Man! (*Drool, Drool!) Let's stop for a brief moment and go ahead and sniff your computer screen... you can almost smell momma's cookin again can't you??!! Come on, just glance longingly at the top's of these wondrous pieces of heaven on earth... The Golden Brown surface, perfectly cooked, not to long in the oven, and no where near being "Undercooked"!
I think it's safe to say that here in front of our eyes, for our pleasure, as well as to help drive us NUTS!
Yes indeed, they are "Beautiful". I believe that successful Biscuit making does actually fall into the category of "ART"! However... as wondrous and beautiful that Biscuits may actually be... They ARE NOT the subject of our time today.
Truly, there is nothing so Beautiful in this world as is the Blessed Gift of Salvation! The Bible says that God will make us "Beautiful" with His Salvation!
I don't know just how long it has been for you, since you last watched someone go from "Death Unto Life". Notice I did NOT say the last time you hear about someone getting saved... I am talking about you and this individual person, standing there face to face, as you open up the Bible and show them scripture verses that will point them to the way of Salvation!
Sadly, there are a great number of Christians who will have to say that it has been soooooo long since they actually led a person to Christ, that they in fact do not remember seeing the tears rolling down the cheek of this person who was for the first time in their life, seeing the realization that they were indeed, "Dead in their trespasses and sins."
Do you want to know a "Horrifying Truth" ... There are MANY Christians who have NEVER, in their whole Christian Life, led a soul to Christ.
Oh, May God have mercy on Christians all over this world. Let me ask you this question, Have you EVER seen this most beautiful transaction? Personally in your own heart? I know that there are many who come and read this blog who do not claim to be born again. In fact, I KNOW of many who are very open and honest with me about this fact that they are Lost as a Goose!
Christian... would to God we could all desire to see this "Wondrous, Beautiful Transaction" take place, not just in our churches but right in front of our eyes!
Luke 15:7 - "I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance."
Luke 15:10 - "Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth."
Come on Christian... Catch the fire of Soul Winning!
Once you get it... you won't want to stop telling everyone!

Prison Ministry Update for Sunday September 20, 2009

I know that the Prison and Jail ministry is not for everyone. Not just anybody could go inside Prison's, Jail's, Work Farms, Minimum, Medium and Maximum Security facilities, and be able to look Murderer's, Rapist's and Molester's in the eye and honestly tell them of a Savior called Jesus who died for their sins, just like He died for your's and mine.
Brother Trotter has been preaching in Jail's and Prison's in the Chattanooga, TN and North Georgia region for almost 18 years now. He has been used, and is still being used, by God to see literally "Thousands" of souls born into the Kingdom of God!
I want to publicly say just how much I personally appreciate the dedication and sacrifice of this Faithful Servant of God. Please pray for Anchored In The Rock Ministries, as they begin to branch out Nationwide, and also Pray for Evangelist James Trotter as he continues to steadily, faithfully go on taking the Gospel message inside Prison's and Jail's all over America.

Prayer Changes Things
I really do enjoy getting these daily devotions myself. (By the way, anyone interested in receiving these devotions for yourself can sign up for them for free. Go to www.billriceranch.org and click on the First Light Logo.)
Anyway, today's devotion was particularly good, for me personally, and I wanted to share it with you. I was glad to see that when I clicked over to: "Starke Reality" that He too had posted today's devotion about prayer. I encourage all of you to take the time to read this short devotion, and then go on and sign up for these to be sent to your e-mail daily. I believe you will find them a great source of encouragement and help.
I again want to say "Thank You" to Bro. Rick Jackson for pointing me in the right Direction!
God Bless You,

| Ezra 8:21 "Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance." Prayer Changes Things Each time my family and I leave the Ranch to travel, you will see our brake lights at the end of the driveway. Just like my dad did while I was growing up, we stop to pray for safety and wisdom in travel. This is not just a meaningless habit my family has formed; this prayer does make a difference. Here in this passage, Ezra and God's people were setting out on a risky journey through unknown territory. They were stopped at the river, leaving the known and familiar behind and crossing over into a land with many dangers. We can see in verse 21 that Ezra took this time of prayer very seriously. They fasted and deprived themselves so that they could seek of the Lord a "right way." Amazingly, they had been offered an escort of soldiers by Artaxerxes the king, but Ezra refused this escort. Why would he do this? Verse 22 explains, "For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, 'The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him'." First of all, Ezra was more concerned with God's glory than with his own safety. It would not have been sinful to accept this escort. We know that because many times the Lord uses other humans to provide for the needs of His people. In addition, we see Ezra's contemporary, Nehemiah, using an escort. But Ezra did not want to be misunderstood by this pagan king and seem dependent upon the help of man rather than the help of God. He wanted him to see that God did not need any "help" in protecting His people. Secondly, by refusing this escort, Ezra was taking his hands off and letting God choose the means by which He would protect and provide for His people. If God could use pagan kings to accomplish His will, certainly He could accomplish His will in His own way. So here they were, entreating God for help before setting out "on their own." And we find a wonderful thing in verse 23: "So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was intreated of us." They prayed and God responded! The pious statement that "the only thing that prayer changes is you" is absolutely wrong and unbiblical. Prayer does change things! At a prayer station in Manhattan, a man came up to me, looked at what I was wearing (which said "Prayer changes things") and quickly retorted, "Sure it changes things-it changes you!" Although that sounds nice, it denies the power of prayer. Come to find out, this man didn't even believe in the God of heaven. God is the One who designed prayer to be the catalyst for His response. Things are different because we pray! If Ezra believed that prayer only changed the person praying, it was pure foolishness to set out across that river. Don't be afraid to lean wholly on your God for provision and protection. You will see the God of heaven answer in a way that brings all the glory to Him. |

He Came Looking Specifically For Me!

John 5:2-15 "Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath. The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed. He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk. Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk? And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole."
Now, We could go through this entire passage and take it piece by piece, bit by bit, for there is surely a "Slew" of things we could glean from this wonderful account.
However, I want to look just at one point... The part of how Jesus came looking for this "...certain man...".
Staring in verse 5, we see that Jesus comes to the pool of Bethesda (*literal meaning is House of Mercy.) and when he comes in there is a multitude of people gathered in the 5 porches surrounding this pool. He comes in looking "Specifically" for this "Certain Man" who had been there a long time.
Now, please don't misunderstand what happened in this situation. Jesus walks in to find NOT just one person in need, He saw ALL of the people, He just specifically came in looking for this ONE certain man. The Bible says in verse 6 "... Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case..." Jesus knew this man had no one to help him down into the water when it was stirred up. I also believe that Jesus knew this man's heart, He knew that this man would be grateful and that he would give the glory and praise to God. Jesus also knew that this certain man would be a willing testimony as to the Power of God in his life, how he was forever changed by what God had done, through Jesus that directly affected his personal life and world.
Don't you think that since the Bible tells us that this man had been ill with this particular ailment or infirmity for 38 years that when Jesus told him to "...Rise, take up thy bed and walk." and when he stood up, wouldn't you agree with me that there were those in that multitude that was gathered there in those 5 porches that took notice. There in front of them this man who they had all known was unable to get up and move himself to the water, here he was now standing up, rolling up his blankets and was walking out the door! Don't think this went unnoticed!
I remember thinking about this particular passage many times over that years and I am always drawn to this one thought when I read and meditate on this.
Jesus came in looking for this "Certain Man". He came looking for this "Individual" person, and when this man met Jesus there his life was forever changed! Realize this that the Bible never does say that this man's ailment or infirmity ever came back to him! He was completely different after meeting Jesus.
Here is the point... March 19, 1985, I was sitting in a church filled to capacity (*There were over 6,000 people in attendance that night.) when Jesus came looking "Specifically" for me! This man in John chapter 5 was never the same after meeting Jesus and Praise God, the same can be said of me! Thank God I will never have to go back to what and who I was!
Think back Christian, to the moment you were saved, do you realize Jesus came at that exact moment and He was looking just for you.
Oh I know there are some who will say "But I was not the only one who was saved that night.", neither was I. The night I was saved, there were over 60 others that came forward as well, however, that night, this same Jesus who came for me specifically, also came "Specifically" for each and every other individual who was saved as well.
Read this...
Many people still remember the sign on the front lawn that asked the above question. My friend, can you answer it honestly? Do you know where you will spend eternity? The Lord has not left us to wander around and hope we land in Heaven someday. God has given a direct answer to a good question.
Jesus stated in (John 3:7)”Ye must be born again", well how does one get "born again".
The first step is to realize that you are a sinner. The Bible says “For all have sinned, and come short of the Glory of God" (Romans 3:23)
Because you are a sinner you are condemned to death in a place called HELL.
“For the wages of sin is DEATH" (Romans 6:23)
Yes friend, there is a HELL and you will go there because of your sins and no one can save themselves.
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us" (Titus 3:5)
You and I need a substitute, one to pay the price for us. This is Jesus Christ.
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
You see, Jesus is the ONLY WAY to Heaven. His death, burial and resurrection are the only thing God will accept.
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be SAVED." (Acts 4:12)
You must repent of sin and trust Jesus Christ as your personal saviour. Repentance is a change of mind that agrees with God that sin is wrong and to trust Christ is what the Philippian Jailer did in ( Acts 16:30-31). “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."
Will you trust Jesus Christ right now? Will you or do you want to pray and ask Jesus Christ to be YOUR personal saviour?
Just pray this simple prayer:
Dear God, I know I am a sinner and I believe Jesus was my substitute when he died on the cross. I believe that He shed His blood on Calvary and that He died and rose again. And I believe that He did this for me, I am asking Him to be my saviour. Thank You for forgiveness of my sins and giving me the gift of salvation and everlasting life.... In Jesus Name, Amen!
My friend, if you prayed this prayer then according to the Bible in (Romans 10:13) "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. " you have been saved!
Praise the Lord for this simple truth that Jesus Himself, came looking specifically for each one of us. Thank you Dear Lord Jesus for your precious sacrifice on Calvary. Thank you for saving a poor, lost sinner like me.
God Bless,
Evangelist David Dunn

"Let's Get Back To The Basics"
Notice I said "WE"! We did it ... NOT God! God did NOT create this complicated thing that we have put in front of New Converts and then said... "Ok, Go live it now!"
We need a Serious "Wake Up Call" in all of Christianity!
Take a look at this:
Race car driver Bill Vukovich won the famed Indianapolis 500 race in 1953 and 1954, a record of success few other drivers had matched. When asked what was the secret of his success in Indianapolis, Vukovich replied, "There's no secret. You just press the accelerator to the floor and steer left."
Now many Racing fans would argue with me saying that this really simplifies what Racing truly is. Well I am not a professional race car driver, However, I do believe that when you sit down and watch Racing on TV, you will indeed find that most racing involves just that... drive fast and turn left!
I want to talk about 3 points concerning the Basics of Christianity. These are not "NEW", this is NOT "Rocket Science". It is just a basic, simple observation of Christianity, Christians and Churches. Please take it for what it is intended... to point out the "800 Pound Gorilla" in the room!
I. The Need to Preach
Acts 8:5 - "Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them."
In preaching Christ to them what did he preach?
A. He preached the Resurrection
B. He preached Redemption
C. He preached Repentance
Someone once made this comment about Preachers:
"Some pastors preach 'Longhorn Sermons'... a point here, a point there, and a lot of Bull in between!"
We don't need Longer Sermons... We need Preachers who will spend "Longer Time" in the Bible and "Hours On Their Knees" in Prayer.
II. The Need of the People
Frederick The Great said this about People:
"The more I get to know people, the more I love my dog!"
The great need of people has always been the same... We need Christ!
Acts 8:6 - "And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did."
What was the great need of the people of Philip's day?
A. To Hear God's Word
B. To Hold to God's Word
C. To Heed to God's Word
The Great Need for us today is exactly the same! (*HEAR, HOLD & HEED!)
III. The Need of Power
There is no way in this world that we could do justice to really how "Big" of a problem this business is of "NOT HAVING THE POWER OF GOD" is in our lives, homes, preaching, prayer, Bible study, ministries and Churches!
The writer of Acts shows us that in his day there was power available and power needed! This is still true for us today... Power IS Available, and it IS Needed!
Acts 8:7-8 - (7) "For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed." (8) " And there was great joy in that city."
A. To Deliver the lost
B. To Defeat the devil
C. To Delight God's people
Look at this simple illustration:
In a seminary missions class, Herbert Jackson told how, as a new missionary, he was assigned a car that would not start without a push. After pondering his problem, he devised a plan. He went to the school near his home, got permission to take some children out of class, and had them push his car off. As he made his rounds, he would either park on a hill or leave the engine running. He used this ingenious procedure for two years.
Ill health forced the Jackson family to leave, and a new missionary came to that station. When Jackson proudly began to explain his arrangement for getting the car started, the new man began looking under the hood. Before the explanation was complete, the new missionary interrupted, "Why, Dr. Jackson, I believe the only trouble is this loose cable." He gave the cable a twist, stepped into the car, pushed the switch, and to Jackson's astonishment, the engine roared to life.
For two years needless trouble had become routine. The power was there all the time. Only a loose connection kept Jackson from putting that power to work.
We need desperately to have Spirit Filled preaching and times of Prayer where the Holy Spirit's presence is so real that there is no way to deny He was there.

This is our Great Need!

The Struggle We All Will Face.
It is as if there is a sense of hopelessness that has settled down in every area of my life.
This IS the struggle we all face eventually... The Impossibility of Staying On Top of Life All The Time!!!!!!!
I am doing a lot of praying and staying in my Bible and read, read, read and read some more!
I am reminded of a parable that is located in:
Mark 12:1-9
Jesus in verse 10 pointed out that he was indeed the Son sent from the Father.
Mark 12:10 - "And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:"
If we really take the time to focus on this truth, the rejection of Jesus Christ by the lost of this world and also by His own Children, those who are saved. Yes, we even now reject Him each and every day as Christians.
Look at Churches and the way they are closing their doors in record numbers, Preachers are falling into open sin seemingly left and right, day and night. Oh, how we need an awakening to Holy Living, an awakening to His Word and His Will for our lives.
If you look at "Man" enough, yes you will struggle, because Man will let you down, he will disappoint you. However, Look to Jesus, He will Never fail you.
You may ask me, "How are you doing now?" I would have to respond, "I am doing Great! Because I am Looking Daily to Him Who Can Lift the Burden from my Heart!"
Please remember to pray for each other today!
God Bless You,
Evangelist David Dunn

Closed Churches
I was struck by the subject matter and thought I might need to pass it on to you.
Please read this with care.

"As I was visiting Wednesday, I was struck by the number of old church buildings I passed. A generation or two ago, these were spirit-filled country churches. Today they are Grange halls, thrift shops, and apartments.
These bygone churches reminded me of a passage from a book I had read:
"While the country churches are the stronghold of the evangelizing and missionary enterprises of the Church at home and abroad there are alarming conditions of weakness in many country churches. ... there were in Maine at that time 282 pastorless churches in farming districts and some of the deserted churches were then serving as cheese factories, dance halls, and road houses." Where will we be in our children's time?
Where are the preachers who will give up hope of wealth and fame to serve in little country churches, bringing our nation back to God one soul, one community at a time?
Where are the missionaries to America, a nation rapidly becoming a pagan land?
We can give up an say, "well, we're in the end times. It's just gonna be like this." Or we can rise up and fight back against the dark tide sweeping our nation.
One day after big storm, a man walked out on the beach and saw thousands of starfish washed up and dying on the sand. A boy was picking them up one-by-one and tossing them back into the water. The man said, "What are you doing, son?" The boy replied, "saving the starfish." The man chuckled at the boy's ignorance and said, "There's no way you can save all those starfish -- there are too many of them." The boy picked up another one and tossed it out into the waves. "There's one more."
Maybe we can't save them all. Maybe this country will never turn back to Christ. But, if we try, we can save "one more."

This article made me stop in my tracks and take notice of what a serious condition we are really in in America. If you have not stopped to Thank God for your Church and your Pastor, then you need to log off the computer and get alone with God in Prayer and start by saying "Thank You"!
For all Pastor's, Preacher's, Missionaries and Evangelist's... "Thank You" for your service for The King of King's!
In His Highest Service,

Understanding God

- "See" that God is there to help us no matter what we may think. (*Numbers 6:26 "The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.")
- "Know" that God, The Holy One of Israel, IS the same God that we serve! (*Isaiah 45:5 "I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:")
- "Consider" what God can do... He can do EVERYTHING! (*Psalms 40:5 "Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.")
- "Understand" The answer is already on the way! (* Daniel 10:10-14 "And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.")
I know that there is absolutely no way that I could, in just a few short words, adequitely explain in detail the method or means by which you, myself or anyone else, for that matter, could COMPLETELY grasp the total concept of "Understanding God".
It really just boils down to this... God IS here! God CAN do anything! God WILL take your burden! God HAS made a way of escape! God STILL Saves!
I hope that this will in some small way encourage you to do some digging on your own, and NEVER stop trusting and believing that He CAN and WILL do just exactly what He said He would do!
Stay before The Lord in all you do!
